Our website is hosted by Bluehost Inc., a major platform for website hosting. This means that all the content of our website resides on servers (computers) of Bluehost. And, when your computer’s internet browser seeks to access our website, the request is received and fulfilled by Bluehost.

When you visit our website, Bluehost collects information about your visit such as: your computer’s IP address, national location, and browser; the date and length of time of your visit; and the specific pages you visited. Our list-based mailings of newsletters and announcements are handled by Mailchimp, which is a major marketing platform for small business, and our subscriber list is stored on their servers.

You can change or delete the information you provided for our list by clicking on the “update” or “unsubscribe” links at the bottom of an email that you receive from us.

When an email is sent to you, MailChimp collects information such as whether and when you: received it, opened it, forwarded it, and clicked on links in it. We are able to view reports based on this information, which include your name and email address (from our subscription list).

We do not share information from our mailing list with any other organization or person.

Donations

We receive information about your name and amount donated, and other information that you may authorize. We do not have access to any information about your credit card.

We do not share information about our donors with any other organization or person.

Personal email

Individual emails sent to, or received from, an address based on “@deathwithdignityalbany.org” are processed by Bluehost (see above). These emails may also be processed by the email service of the person we designate to handle this correspondence.
