More About Us

We were founded in 2015 by Bonnie Edelstein. Along with Deputy Director Jeff Baltes and many helpers, Bonnie built Death with Dignity–Albany into a sizeable regional forum for education about end-of-life matters and for advocating enactment of medical aid in dying in New York. Following Bonnie’s sad and surprising death in July, 2021, Thad Mirer (formerly our webmaster) became Director.

Our newsletter provides announcements of upcoming events and advocacy activities, news, and updates on legislative action. We now have about 700 subscribers. Please join us!
