Wondering about the status of lobbying efforts to pass legislation on end of life options? Looking for a way to get involved? Please join us at this meeting for a very practical discussion, which will include:
- NY campaign update
- Report and debrief of January Lobby Day
- Future lobbying plans
- Plans for organizing in-district lobby visits
- Individual small steps–ways to get involved and make your voice heard
Joining us for this discussion will be Corinne Carey, New York Campaign Manager for Compassion & Choices, and Amanda Avery, our DwD-Albany Advocacy Coordinator and recently-appointed Outreach Coordinator for Compassion & Choices. Corinne and Amanda will bring us up to date on the status of legislation in New York. Following this, we will discuss the many opportunities for YOU to get involved and make your voice heard, from signing a petition to writing a letter to the editor to visiting your legislators to organizing your friends. Everything counts!
This meeting is free and open to the public. No registration is required.
